Hi My Loves!!!
I try to capture all of the cute things Phoenix says on our daily vlog channel but he seems to prefer to chat off camera haha!! I thought I would make a list just to be able to keep this to look back on when he's older and for an idea of what I can expect for Lily once she's at the talking age.
It's actually amazing, once you write everything down that they say... you realize it's a lot more than you thought! I showed Jay the list and we were both really surprised seeing it written down. Try it!!
(What a little beauty!!!)
So here goes :)
2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11
I down (I want down)
I walk ( I want to go for a walk)
Out you go
I home (I'm home)
Babe (that's what he calls me)
I Dora (I want Dora)
I play (I want to play)
I off (wants his bouncy castle turned off)
I bath ( I want a bath)
I hand (wash his hands)
I go bye ( when he wants to leave)
Tea (he loves hearing the kettle boil for my tea haha)
I help (I want help)
I gotta go
What what what what (in a singing tone)
Addie (his girlfriend)
The animal noises he can make:
Hippo (we just make a loud house cuz I have no idea what hippos do)
Bunny (wiggles his nose)
Bird (tweet tweet and flaps his hands)
That's all that I could think of at the moment :) Now obviously these words aren't perfectly clear like you or I would say but they are clear enough so that he can let us know what he wants, which is amazing. This age is fabulous because I feel like you really get to start building such a great relationship with them. They can express how they are feeling or what they want or need and the frustration (for him) of not being able to communicate is no longer a problem. I just love it :) Every stage of his life so far has been so different and it just keeps getting better and better.
We went to the doctor's on Thursday and had his 2 year wellness check. We got to talk about potty training with her and of course got his measurements. She said he's doing great and he's around the 75th percentile for both weight and height :) She gave us some tips on the potty training and told us that being patient and doing it when he's ready is the most important thing. Right now we are slowly introducing it to him so that he becomes familiar with it and likes it. Phoenix just turned 2 this month and our pediatrician recommended introducing it to him now but she said he'd probably be closer to 2 1/2 or 3 before he's ready to be fully potty trained... so we shall see ;) If you guys have any tips and tricks on what worked for your little ones, please let me know in the comments below! Any advice would be helpful :) I have other Mommy's that have kids that were potty trained ranging from 18 months up until 3 1/2 so I'm guessing it really varies depending on the child?
Height: 36 inches
Head: 19 inches
Now I feel like I've recorded some important toddler document or something haha!!! These things are important to keep track of, it's amazing how quickly they grow up and before you know it you can't remember certain things.
Also a lovely subscriber of ours nominated us for The Circle Of Moms Top 25 Mom Vlogs, which was so sweet of her (THANK YOU ANN)..... if you would like to vote for us that would be som amazing :) We are number 10 right now, thanks to everyone who voted. You can vote every 24 hours too :)
Thanks for reading!!
