My 2013 New Years Resolutions!

Hi My Loves!!!

It's that time of year again.... We all set ourselves resolutions hoping that we will indeed stick to them. Last year one of my main resolutions was to make sure I remove my makeup before bed no matter what and I can say I succeeded!!! I usually end up not following through with New Years Resolutions but that was one I really stuck to and it paid off. My skin is the best it's ever been since I was 13 and got my first zit haha!

So here's to a new year and new resolutions :) Lets hope I can succeed in these as well.

WATCH MY  FAVORITE MAKEUP PRODUCTS OF 2012 HERE:

#1.) Painting the house....
I have a lot of plans for our home but the first thing that I really want to tackle this year is painting. I've already got an idea of what colors for which rooms, so I'm half way there haha!! The first room I want to paint is Lily's, so that we can get it all done before she starts sleeping in there :) I'm super excited!! I've always dreamed of painting my daughters room a nice pale pink just how I would have wanted mine when I was little..... so this is like a mini dream come true (well once it's done it will be haha).....

Here's the color we have chosen for our little princess. We will be painting the trim white too :)

#2.) Drink more water!!!!
I feel like I'm constantly telling myself this. I do drink a good amount but I feel like I could always drink more. Pretty self explanatory really :)

How cool is this water bottle from Evian?? Now I'm not this snazzy, I won't be drinking out of posh water bottles but hey that's ok!

#3. Be more organized with my grocery list :)
If you've been watching us for a while, then you will know that a highly used phrase that came out of my mouth quite often was, "I forgot to take the chicken out!" Luckily that's not my problem anymore....... I'm actually pretty good about it now! However I have replaced it with, "I forgot to add it to the grocery list!" I feel like that's all I say! I'm so unorganized with my grocery list. I'm constantly forgetting things at the store and then once we get home I remember... It's rather annoying because it makes so much more work having to go back to the store to get one or two things. So I really need to get my act together on this one. If you guys have any tips, let me know!

#4.) Do more crafts/DIY....
This year I would really like to channel my inner creative self :) I use to paint a lot when I was young (oil paints) and I'm always wanting to do crafty/diy type things but feel like I either don't have the supplies or don't have the time.... The nice thing is that now that Phoenix is getting a bit older, I would like to start doing some toddler crafts with him. He's very hands on and seems very artsy, so I think he would have a lot of fun doing some crafts with Mama :) Let me know if you have any ideas! Also there are some fun DIY type things I would like to do for the home as well. Starting with re covering are chairs for our kitchen table. Ideally I would like to go and get a snazzy counter height table with 8 chairs that's amazing and posh.... but they are rather expensive. So unless I find a fab deal on Craigslist or something I'm gonna have to make do with what we have right now. It's not pretty but it does the trick.... but the bright blue fabric on those seats are screaming out for a makeover :)

I thought these were so cute for V' day :)

So that's my list of resolutions..... let's hope I can stick to them :)

What are yours?

  5. Ha! I just added a notes app to my phone just today!! So tired of leaving my list at home. Grrrr...never again! Sooooo glad to hear that you have a creative "itch". I remember the paintings of yours that hung on the walls when you guys lived in Nevada...you have TALENT! I vote for some kind of mural for the kids rooms.
